Works great! just run what Adam posted 'u3-tool -p0 /dev/sgX' without the quotes and 'X' replacing what it says for your device !OH and MAKE sure you run it with sudo!! or root, otherwise it wont work and give you errors. This is just to clarify for those of us who dont use the terminal and get lost with cli. thanks daviedev

Want to re-install U3? I can’t come up with a single reason why you’d want to do this but just in case, Sandisk’s site gives the following advice: SanDisk’s U3 website features a U3 Launchpad Installer utility that you can use to re-install the U3 Launchpad on the Cruzer smart drive. Suspected Conflict with Windows 7 and SanDisk U3 Cruzer Micro USB Media. Mind you I am not trying to run the launchpad software or anything.

- Some Answers & Info about U3 LaunchPad. Ok here is what I have found through some digging and research. I have personall tested these findings as well. I've come across some posts that seem to imply that the Sandisk Installer would work with other manufacturers.
- STEP 2 - Download U3 Launchpad Installer 1. Download the U3 Launchpad Installer from the above link. Click Save File and save it to your desktop. STEP 3 - Run U3 Launchpad Installer Wizard 1. Insert a SanDisk compatible U3 smart drive to your computer. Double-click LPInstaller.exe 3. Select Accept then click Next.
